You will work hands-on with Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLC platforms, optimize existing equipment, and lead cross-functional projects from concept to launch. To excel in this role, you should bring a bachelor’s degree in automation, electrical, or mechatronic engineering—or at least three years of equivalent industry experience. Your toolbox includes Allen Bradley PLC programming, AutoCAD Electrical for controls design, and HMI development. You are a natural problem-solver with strong communication skills, able to train technicians, manage projects, and adapt quickly to shifting production priorities. Non-Negotiables
- You must hold a Bachelor's degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, or possess at least three years of industry experience in software development, programming, or engineering/IT disciplines
- You must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You must work with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- You must demonstrate excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex equipment issues

Responsibilities
- You will design, program, and deploy automated and mechatronic systems to improve safety, productivity, and reliability across manufacturing operations
- You will develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs using Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi platforms for production equipment
- You will partner with manufacturing engineers to design, specify, build, test, and commission mechatronic systems from concept to launch
- You will lead and support maintenance technicians in troubleshooting controls issues to reduce downtime and improve system performance
- You will analyze recurring equipment problems, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions that prevent future failures
- You will create equipment specifications, manage procurement, and oversee the installation of automation and controls hardware on the factory floor
- You will train manufacturing and maintenance teams on new systems and processes, ensuring a smooth transition to upgraded automation technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- You preferably have hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLC platforms in a manufacturing setting
- You preferably have experience using AutoCAD Electrical for controls design and documentation
- You preferably have a background in HMI design and development for industrial automation interfaces
- You preferably have practical experience with MES systems for data collection, visualization, quality monitoring, and efficiency tracking
- You preferably possess project management experience, including managing timelines, budgets, and design reviews
- You preferably have programming experience in Visual Basic, C, C++, or Python to support automation scripts and integration
