Opportunity

Sarasota, Florida, is known for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture, but it is also home to some of the nation’s most advanced defense technology work. This full stack software engineering role places you at the center of a team that builds signal processing applications for the Intelligence Community. You will not just write code—you will help protect national security while enjoying a coastal lifestyle.

Your day-to-day will involve designing robust web-connected applications that process critical data for national agencies. This is not a typical corporate CRUD app; you will work with high-throughput ETL pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and secure REST interfaces that move mission data in real time. Every feature you ship directly supports analysts and operators who depend on your software to make split-second decisions.

We are looking for an engineer who combines deep Python expertise with genuine curiosity about distributed systems. The right person already understands container orchestration, CI/CD, and scaling—and is eager to apply that knowledge in a cleared environment. You thrive when your code has a tangible impact, and you are committed to quality through rigorous testing. This team values ownership, so your ideas on architecture and process improvement will be heard and implemented.

This is a direct-hire career move that offers a competitive salary, top benefits, a 10% 401K contribution, and stock. Relocation is fully covered, so you can settle into the Gulf Coast without stress. If you hold an active TS/SCI clearance and want to work on technology that truly makes a difference, now is the time to step forward. We are ready to move fast for the right person.

Non-Negotiables

  • You must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be a U.S. citizen, with no dual citizenship
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field is required
  • You bring at least two to five years of professional software engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Python and a demonstrated ability with unit testing are non-negotiable
  • You have a practical understanding of vertical and horizontal scaling, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with ETL pipelines, databases, SQL, RESTful interfaces, and websockets is expected

What's In It For You

  • The compensation package places you in an annual salary range of $135,000 to $170,000, depending on experience
  • You will receive a comprehensive benefits plan with top-tier medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • A 10% employer 401K contribution helps you build a secure financial future
  • Equity in the form of company stock aligns your success with the growth of the company
  • Full relocation assistance is provided, making it easy to join the team in sunny Sarasota, Florida
  • You will work on prestigious programs supporting national security, gaining exposure to advanced signal processing tech
  • This direct-hire position ensures stability and long-term career growth with a respected defense contractor

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines and integrate RESTful interfaces and websockets for real-time data flow
  • Implement unit tests and uphold rigorous testing standards to ensure software reliability
  • Leverage Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and scaling strategies to deliver production-grade systems
  • Collaborate with a team specializing in signal processing to evolve the X-Midas framework for the Intelligence Community
  • Participate in the full software lifecycle from architecture to deployment, ensuring robust and secure solutions
  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance for applications used by national agencies and the Department of Defense

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience creating and editing Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Argo CD and Argo Workflows for GitOps continuous delivery will set you apart
  • The ability to create and manage GitLab CI jobs streamlines our development pipeline
  • Knowledge of object storage with S3 or MinIO APIs helps handle large signal processing datasets
