• You must hold active DV clearance and be willing to work onsite in Cheltenham at least four days per week
• You have hands-on experience building and deploying secure software products using modern technology and cloud-native patterns
• You are comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle and delivering in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban
• You possess strong familiarity with AWS or Azure concepts and services, including how to design reliable, scalable shared solutions
• You can confidently engage with senior stakeholders and present clear, well-reasoned technical recommendations
• Your background includes designing and managing automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code principles

Responsibilities

• You will design, build, and operate shared platform services that support deployment, monitoring, and operation across multiple environments
• You will develop, test, deploy, release, and monitor software products in close collaboration with agile feature teams
• You will create and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline and secure the delivery of changes
• You will build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles, ensuring consistency and repeatability
• You will deploy and operate products in AWS, Azure, and on-premises data centres, adapting solutions to meet specific security requirements
• You will coach and support teams in adopting shared platform services, helping them optimise their workflows and tooling

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience or certifications with tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform will set you apart
• Familiarity with Packer, Vault, Serverless, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Artifactory, or Nexus is a strong plus
• You enjoy sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues, helping to raise the bar across the entire engineering community
• A track record of contributing to open-source projects or speaking at meetups would signal your passion for the craft
• Experience working in regulated or classified environments adds confidence that you can meet the role’s security demands
• You are eager to learn emerging technologies and have a natural curiosity for solving complex technical problems
