As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and support secure and scalable systems that underpin vital operations. You’ll create automated CI/CD pipelines, manage shared platform services, and deploy infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments. Working alongside multi-skilled feature teams, you’ll solve complex problems, optimise delivery speed, and ensure reliability across the full software development lifecycle.

We’re looking for a DV‑cleared engineer who brings a proactive, can‑do attitude and a track record of delivering secure products with modern technology. You are comfortable with AWS or Azure, have built scalable shared solutions, and thrive in agile settings using Scrum or Kanban. Non-Negotiables

  • You must already hold current DV (Developed Vetting) clearance
  • You are willing to work onsite in Cheltenham at least four days each week
  • You have demonstrable experience building and deploying secure products using modern technology patterns
  • You are familiar with AWS and/or Azure concepts and services
  • You have designed and run reliable, scalable shared solutions
  • You have worked across the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • You deliver in agile environments using Scrum or Kanban

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, deploy, release, operate, and monitor software products across the full lifecycle
  • Design and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable delivery
  • Build and operate shared platform services that support deployment, operation, and monitoring
  • Create and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles
  • Deploy and operate products in AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments
  • Support feature teams in adopting and optimising shared platform services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins is highly valued
  • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes sets you apart
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Packer is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of monitoring stacks including Elastic Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana is beneficial
  • Exposure to artifact management tools like Artifactory and Nexus will be noticed
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps tooling are advantageous
